Technology
Beyond Earth
With our advanced technology
in the
U.C.G., we can accomplish unbelievable tasks. The U.C.G. has
one
of the largest inter-galactic telescopes and numerous
satellites.
Our source of funding for these missions is through our discoveries in
new alternative rocket fuel and other various techniques.
Underneath
Our Feet
Beneath the islands and that
make up our
archipelago, a trans-archipelic subway connects every major
city.
This Underground Transit System (UTS) will transport goods and
people. The UTS is a Maglev train that can reach speeds up to
580
kilometers per hour.
Cleaning
Up Our Human Footprint
The U.C.G. is ecologically
friendly. With infinite renewable and clean energy sources,
we are an
eco-friendly country with many techniques at hand.
The fact that we are located
on an
archipelago means that the U.C.G. is surrounded by water.
Giant
propellers float in the ocean and are turned by the ocean’s
current, which turns a turbine on shore producing
electricity. A Zinc Powder is put on the propelers to prevent
corrosion. The propellers
are
monitored daily by a maintenance crew that checks that there is nothing
caught in the shafts. There are 5 propellers in a rig, and
there are 5
rigs per island, producing clean energy. Further inland, wind
farms produce energy in vast quantities along with a hydroelectric
plant on the largest river in the archipelago, the Sujan. On
the
other six islands, the same hydroelectric plants are placed on smaller,
but still large rivers.
Also, each house in the country is equipped with solar panels and a solar heating element on the roofs, providing hot water for the home or pool. Citizens are required to use biodegradable soaps and chemicals. All showers and drains on that citizen’s property lead to a 10-foot tall cylindrical tub imbedded in the ground. From there, the liquid goes through a small filter and is reused to water plants and lawns on that citizen’s property. Finally, all citizens must recycle. The recycling program in the U.C.G. is very extensive. All buses, subways, bus stops, subway stations, the Underground Transit System, and any other public transportation services offer decomposable waste bins, plastic bottle bins, aluminum can bins, and paper bins for recycling.
